As a former paediatrician,having worked specifically in the field of Child Protection for many years, I can not see how we can reduce Domestic Violence if it is still lawful for children and young people to experience corporal punishment.

Corporal Punishment is deliberately inflicting pain to the extent it is intended to alter behaviour.

Is that not also Domestic Violence?
